Description

Golang Platform Engineer – Kubernetes / Cloud Native Join our Container Technology & Operations team within Platform Engineering as an experienced Golang Platform Engineer. You’ll help design, develop, automate and operate strategic Kubernetes-based platform services that enable engineering teams to build, deploy and run secure, scalable and resilient applications. Working in a highly collaborative banking environment, you’ll partner with engineering, infrastructure, security, architecture, risk and operations teams to deliver reliable cloud-native platform capabilities, improve developer experience and drive operational excellence. Essential Skills & Experience Strong commercial experience with Golang and software engineering.Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container technologies.Experience designing, operating and automating cloud-native platforms at scale.Strong Linux, networking, CI/CD and automation skills.Experience with Infrastructure as Code and platform engineering practices.Knowledge of observability, reliability, security and operational excellence.Experience working across multiple engineering, infrastructure and security teams.Strong communication, stakeholder management and collaboration skills.Experience working in environments with enterprise governance, risk and regulatory requirements. Preferred Skills CKA, CKAD or CKS certification.Experience with OpenShift or other enterprise container platforms.Knowledge of Istio, Linkerd or other service mesh technologies.Experience with Argo CD, Flux or other GitOps tooling.Familiarity with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform.Experience building developer platforms and improving engineering/developer experience.
