This position works closely with the Associate Director of Product Development to ensure the efficient operation of the overall Product Development Team. This position is an in-person, in-office role. Primary Responsibilities Exercise independent judgment and discretion in overall project management by prioritizing, planning, and tracking development project progressParticipate in all stages of product design and development, from development of the MVP through building a scalable production systemResearch product development options and provide analysis for product directionManage one or more teams of Software and Quality Craftsman; evaluate employee performance, set expectations and goals for department, as well as individual staff members, recruit, mentor, train, and discipline staff to ensure successParticipate in committees and/or focus groups as requestedServe as an escalation point for third tier development and/or customer escalation situations needing development management attentionComplete other job-related assignments and special projects as directed Required Skills/Abilities Excellent communication skills both written and spokenStrong problem solving and analysis skillsStrong interpersonal skillsProven ability and desire to lead multiple teams to reach goalsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent time management skillsTeam playerDrive to complete assignments and product roadmap on time with qualityAbility to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projectsExpertise in interviewing developers and hiringFamiliarity with cloud solutionsFamiliarity with building highly available solutionsThe ability to read and understand codeStrong understanding and ability to implement agile methodologies Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or management2-5 years technical management experience Other Willing and ready to exemplify HHIT’s core values on a daily basisResponsible for protecting data entrusted to HHIT by customers or other parties by strictly adhering to HHIT’s data security and privacy policies and procedures, as well as HIPAA, PIPEDA and all other applicable lawSpeaking and writing English is a requirement for this positionMinimum of two (2) year required in manager position before becoming eligible to be considered for a Senior manager or higher positionMust be authorized to work in the United States Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computerMust be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
