The engineer will work on new product initiatives as well as enhancements to existing aa.com search and availability interfaces and APIs. The ideal candidate should have strong front-end development skills, solid backend/API knowledge, and experience building scalable, reliable production applications Key Responsibilities Develop, test, and document production-quality software applications and technical solutions.Build and enhance Angular-based front-end applications.Develop backend services and APIs using Java and Spring/Spring Boot.Design and implement scalable REST and GraphQL APIs.Work across front-end, backend, database, integration, and CI/CD components.Troubleshoot complex technical and integration issues and perform root cause analysis.Design solutions focused on performance, resiliency, scalability, and reliability.Identify and reduce technical debt and improve existing application architecture.Develop system integrations and resolve data/interface issues across multiple teams.Collaborate with product, business, vendor, security, and engineering teams.Implement automated testing and maintain high-quality engineering standards.Participate in Agile/Scrum development and DevOps practices.Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to technical prototypes and architectural improvements.Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical best practices. Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent experience.3+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale production applications.Strong Full Stack Development experience.Strong hands-on Angular experience.Strong Java development experience.Hands-on experience with Spring/Spring Boot.Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills.Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.Experience with GitHub / Azure DevOps.Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices.Strong object-oriented design and development skills.Ability to develop scalable, reliable, and maintainable applications.
