QA Automation Engineer Experience: 2–8+ years Salary: $95,000–$150,000 per year Locations: Dallas, TX Austin, TX New York, NY Atlanta, GA Employment Type: Full-time About The Role We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions across web applications, APIs, and integrated systems. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with modern automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, and Cypress, along with solid programming skills in Java and/or Python. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and QA engineers to build reliable test automation, improve software quality, and accelerate CI/CD delivery. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks and test suites.Create automated tests for web applications using Selenium, Playwright, and/or Cypress.Develop and execute API tests to validate functionality, reliability, and performance.Write clean, maintainable automation code using Java and/or Python.Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing.Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues.Develop functional, regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end automated tests.Participate in test planning, requirement reviews, and risk assessment.Improve test coverage, automation reliability, execution speed, and reporting.Maintain test documentation and contribute to QA standards and best practices.Troubleshoot test failures and distinguish application defects from automation/environment issues.Contribute to a culture of quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
