The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary infrastructure and DevOps environment, helping design, implement and secure Microsoft Azure cloud platforms and supporting the migration of applications and infrastructure to the cloud. This is a highly hands-on role suited to an experienced DevOps professional with strong Azure, DevSecOps, Linux and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) capability. The role is primarily onsite in Canberra. Remote working of up to two days per week may be considered after the first six months, subject to client approval. Key Responsibilities Design, implement and maintain Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure and servicesDevelop automated solutions for deploying infrastructure and applications to AzureBuild and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell and YAMLSupport cloud migration of applications and existing on-premise infrastructureImplement DevOps and DevSecOps practices across cloud environmentsDesign and implement security controls across the Azure platformWork with Azure RBAC, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Policy and related cloud security technologiesAutomate security and infrastructure processes using Microsoft Azure DevOpsManage and support Linux environments, including Java-based applicationsMonitor cloud services, platform health, utilisation and performanceSupport vulnerability management and implementation of security improvementsParticipate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to feature planning and prioritisationCollaborate with architects, developers, administrators and internal and external stakeholdersProduce technical documentation and transfer knowledge to internal teams Skills & Experience Required Minimum 5 years' experience applying DevOps practices within complex data and analytics environmentsMinimum 5 years' experience supporting the design and delivery of new technology capabilities, including system design, development, governance and documentationStrong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud AdministrationStrong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and/or DevSecOpsStrong Linux administration experienceDemonstrated experience developing and maintaining Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)Hands-on experience with Ansible, PowerShell, Terraform and/or YAMLStrong understanding of cloud security, automation and infrastructure engineeringExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsAbility to work effectively within multidisciplinary Agile delivery teams Highly Desirable Experience with KubernetesPrevious hands-on web application development experienceExperience supporting complex Federal Government, national security, law enforcement or similarly regulated environmentsExisting NV1 Security Clearance Security & Eligibility Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an Australian Government NV1 Security Clearance.
