About the Opportunity We're looking for an experienced IT/OT Integration Software Engineer to join our Sydney team, based in Castle Hill. This position will initially be offered as a 6-month contract, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent role. This role sits at the intersection of software, enterprise IT and operational technology, developing solutions that connect business systems with industrial environments and enable data and processes to flow accurately, securely and reliably between them. Working closely with engineering, IT and operations teams, you'll apply modern software development and deployment practices to real-world industrial environments. In this role you will: Design, develop, program, commission and support software solutions across IT and OT environments.Develop applications using C# and .NET, across both back-end and front-end development.Develop front-end solutions using Blazor WebAssembly.Build and maintain automated testing frameworks to support code quality and reliability.Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.Work with Microsoft SQL Server, including database design, queries and performance tuning.Support enterprise system integrations and the flow of data between business and industrial systems.Provide technical support during commissioning, deployment, operations and incident response.Collaborate with clients and internal engineering, automation, IT and operations teams to deliver reliable integration solutions. What We're Looking For: We're interested in speaking with people who have: A Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering or an equivalent qualification.5+ years' experience in software development, IT/OT integration or systems engineering.Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET development, covering both back-end and front-end.Experience with Blazor WebAssembly.Experience setting up and maintaining C# testing frameworks.Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation, ideally Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.Strong Microsoft SQL Server capability, including database design, queries and performance tuning.Strong analytical, troubleshooting and documentation skills.The ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across engineering, operations and IT teams. Experience with SAP or other ERP integrations, Microsoft Fabric, SSRS, Azure or AWS will be highly regarded. Exposure to SCADA, MES, PLCs or other OT technologies is advantageous but not essential, and experience working within manufacturing environments would be highly regarded.
