Web Developer Position "We are looking for an ‘outstanding’ Web Developer to be responsible for the coding, innovative design of our web projects." You will build websites, landing pages, ecommerce sites and membership sites from concept all the way to completion from the bottom up, fashioning everything from the home page to site layout and function. You must understand Google analytics and tracking. You must have experience setting up a Google Analytics dashboard. Personally I work long hours, and I need someone who can help me implement my ideas, manage projects and communicate with clients. Speed is very important to me. If you’re a slow worker or a slow implementer or a slow learner – we simply won’t be a good fit. You’ll have various tasks. I expect you to have a can do attitude. I can’t stand complainers or those that talk a good game but nothing ever gets done. What I really want is someone who lets their work do the talking for them. Some typical tasks you might do in a day (note: you don’t need to know how to do all of these just yet, but must be willing to learn)... What You'll Be Doing:Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practicesCreate website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practicesIntegrate data from various back-end services and databasesGather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needsCreate and maintain software documentationBe responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our internal site and clients’ sitesStay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activitiesCooperate with web designers to match visual design intent… and much, much more. No two days will ever be the same. Required Skills Proven working experience in web programmingTop-notch programming skills and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSSFamiliarity with at least one of the following programming languages: PHP, ASP.NET, Javascript or Ruby on RailsA solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practicesAdequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming and web application developmentHands-on experience with network diagnostics, network analytics toolsBasic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization processAggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem solving skillsStrong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumenAbility to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques.BS in computer science or a related fieldExperience working with OptimizePress and other WordPress Plug-ins You need to be a hardworking, self-starter, who is coachable, dependable, determined, driven, accountable, tech savvy, and naturally obsessed with details. Additional Requirements # 1 Intermediate knowledge of internet marketing, tracking, conversions, sales funnels, sales copy, upsells, etc. # 2 Intermediate knowledge of some of the tools we use… like WordPress, Optimize Press, Infusionsoft # 3 Intermediate knowledge of ad creation, ad placement and ad management (i.e. banners, ppc, solo ads, etc). Optional Skills (Not Required, But a Plus) Basic HTML / coding abilityPhotoshopA great eye for design Compensation And Getting Paid Right now work is assigned on a per project basis and as soon as part-time or full-time work is available (provided you’ve worked well with us so far) you’ll be among the first people we contact. Rates average out to $25 an hour starting out. If you’re starting out with fewer skills and learning as you go, compensation is going to be lower. The right person for this role will also deeply value the learning experience.
