Role summary: The (USA) Software Engineer III plays a critical role in designing, developing, and delivering scalable software solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams including product management and user experience. About the team: The Walmart International Enterprise Inventory team develops advanced supply chain solutions that enhance cost efficiency through technology and data. The Enterprise Inventory team delivers a trusted source of inventory across Walmart’s international supply chain, providing near real-time visibility and accuracy across stores, distribution centers, fulfillment centers, and supplier networks. This team supports improved replenishment, fulfillment, inventory management, and customer experience by building a scalable, event-driven platform tailored for international markets. Immigration Sponsorship support will NOT be available for this position** What you'll do: Collaborate with product, project, business, and user experience teams to define high-level design and technical solutions for projects. Develop, write, and test code ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements, including security and scalability standards. Troubleshoot and resolve production and business issues through root cause analysis and coordinated action plans. Manage project tasks, communicate status, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery. Provide guidance and mentorship to small engineering groups, including offshore associates. Implement automation scripts and telemetry features to support continuous integration and delivery. Conduct testing, defect management, and performance monitoring to maintain application quality and reliability. What you'll bring: Proven experience in software design, development, and delivery within Agile environments. Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming and coding standards using languages such as Java, Spring Boot, Expertise in debugging, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting complex production issues. Ability to develop and execute test cases, including automation and regression testing. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Also, Proficiency with version control systems such as gitHubExperience collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
