Senior UI/UX Developer

Those without a Poly will not be considered.** Bespoke Technologies is seeking a UI/UX Developer with strong expertise in modern front-end development and a solid understanding of human-centered design principles. The ideal candidate combines strong development skills with a user-focused mindset, translating product and design requirements into intuitive, accessible, responsive, and high-quality digital experiences. The primary focus of this role is modern front-end development, particularly using React and JavaScript. Experience working with back-end technologies and building or integrating full-stack solutions is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities Design and develop modern, responsive, and intuitive user interfaces for web-based applications.Build reusable, maintainable, and scalable front-end components using React and JavaScript.Translate UX designs, wireframes, prototypes, and product requirements into production-ready applications.Apply human-centered design (HCD) principles throughout the product development lifecycle.Collaborate with users, product owners, designers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand user needs and translate them into effective technical solutions.Participate in user research, usability testing, prototyping, and iterative design activities as needed.Ensure applications meet standards for usability, accessibility, responsiveness, performance, and cross-browser compatibility.Integrate front-end applications with APIs, services, and back-end systems.Contribute to back-end development when needed, including API development, data integration, and troubleshooting across the application stack.Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and continuous improvement of development practices.Work effectively within an Agile or iterative product development environment. Required Skills:Strong professional experience with modern front-end development, with front-end engineering as a primary area of expertise.Strong hands-on experience with React and modern React development patterns.Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.Experience developing responsive, component-based web applications.Understanding of modern front-end architecture, state management, API integration, and reusable component design.Demonstrated knowledge of UI/UX and human-centered design principles, including usability, accessibility, interaction design, and user-centered problem solving.Ability to translate designs and user requirements into functional, polished interfaces.Experience integrating applications with REST APIs and/or other back-end services.Familiarity with modern development practices, including Git/version control, automated testing, CI/CD, and Agile development.Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skillsExcellent written and oral presentation skills, including facilitation of small to large groups (5-30+ people)Ability to provide clear, articulate rationale for design choices and approachExpertise with Agile methodology and ability to work in iterative product design cyclesBachelor’s degree Desired Skills Full-stack development experience and the ability to contribute to back-end development when required.Experience with back-end technologies such as Node.js, Python, Java, or similar frameworks/languages.Experience designing, developing, or consuming APIs and working with databases.Familiarity with TypeScript and modern React frameworks.Experience with design systems and component libraries.Familiarity with UX/design and prototyping tools such as Figma.Knowledge of WCAG and accessibility best practices.Experience conducting or supporting user research, usability testing, journey mapping, prototyping, and iterative product design.
