Senior Software Developer (.NET & Angular) Melbourne CBD (In Melbourne CBD Financial District) Banjo | Full-time | Hybrid (3 days/week in office) Banjo is a cloud-native fintech helping small and medium Australian businesses grow, by giving them fast, fair access to business loans. Our in-house Engineering team has built our own end-to-end lending platform — combining technology, AI, and real credit expertise to assess risk accurately and move fast for our customers. We're looking for a Senior .NET Software Developer who loves designing and building software that makes a real difference, is excited about using the latest technologies (including AI-assisted development) to help the team ship faster and better and thrives working as part of a collaborative team. The Role As a full-stack Senior .NET Software Developer, you'll use your expertise in .NET, Angular, Blazor, TypeScript, SQL Server and Azure to design, build, test, and deploy new financial products and features on our lending platform. You'll take ownership of business initiatives, lead the design and Agile delivery of solutions, and collaborate with Engineering team members locally and overseas. AI-assisted development is part of how we build software at Banjo. You'll use AI coding assistants and agentic tools daily to accelerate design, implementation, testing, and refactoring — and set the standard for how the team applies the same rigour to AI-generated code as to hand-written code. What You'll Do • Analyse business initiatives and requirements, and create, prioritise, and coordinate delivery tasks • Collaborate with Business and Engineering teams to deliver on shared goals • Help drive technical initiatives and platform upgrades • Develop technical specifications, architecture, and software designs • Write clean, testable code using .NET, TypeScript, and XUnit or NUnit • Test and debug .NET and Angular applications • Review and refactor code and software designs • Support other developers, including those offshore, and remove roadblocks for the team • Champion effective and responsible use of AI coding tools across the team, including reviewing AI-generated code from other developers • Contribute to improving the team's standards, practices, and use of AI tooling What You'll Bring Must have: • Expert knowledge of the Microsoft .NET stack, SQL Server, and T-SQL • Highly proficient with TypeScript, Angular and Blazor • Experience working within an Agile team • Excellent written and verbal communication • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality • Experience with Git-based source control and pull request workflows • Strong judgement in reviewing and validating AI-generated code, with the experience to set standards for where these tools should and shouldn't be relied on Highly regarded: • Experience collaborating with an overseas team to deliver solutions • Experience in the finance domain • Cloud experience with Microsoft Azure • DevOps experience • Agile scrum master experience • Experience with agentic coding workflows, AI-assisted test generation, or building prompts/context for repeatable development tasks • Experience with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines • Awareness of secure coding practices and handling of sensitive customer data About You • A team-first ethos, with strong leadership and collaboration skills, including with international teams • Comfortable identifying and articulating areas for improvement, and proposing solutions • High levels of initiative and self-motivation • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills • Curious about new tools and approaches, with the judgement to help guide others in adopting them responsibly • Open to feedback, and committed to continuous learning as technology evolves Sound like you?
