Collaboration Systems Application Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Collaboration Systems Engineer to join our Client’s Collaboration Experience team. In this role, you will design, build, and operate scalable solutions across key collaboration platforms including Slack, Airtable, and other enterprise SaaS platforms—supporting both business operations and engineering productivity. You will combine hands on solution development with platform administration, automation, and integration, translating organizational needs into secure, reliable, and well governed collaboration systems. Strong technical expertise, a platform ownership mindset, and the ability to partner across engineering, IT, and business teams are essential. Role & Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain Slack apps, bots, workflows, and Airtable-based business solutionsDevelop and integrate solutions using Slack APIs (Events API, Block Kit, slash commands), Airtable formulas, automations, interfaces, and enterprise APIs/webhooksAdminister, configure, and manage collaboration platforms for reliability, scalability, performance, and securityEstablish and evolve platform standards for development, governance, data integrity, and complianceMonitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues including incidents, automation failures, and performance degradationPartner with engineering, IT, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutionsWrite documentation and runbooks to support ownership and maintainabilityParticipate in platform design initiatives, vendor evaluations, and solution implementationsShare on-call or operational support responsibilities as needed Project Overview Role sits within the client's Collaboration Experience teamFocus: designing, building, and operating scalable solutions across Slack, Airtable, and other enterprise SaaS platformsSupports both business operations and engineering productivityCombines hands-on solution development with platform administration, automation, and integration Requirements 5+ years of experience supporting and engineering collaboration SaaS platformsStrong hands-on experience building solutions on Slack and AirtableProficiency with JavaScript; experience with APIs, webhooks, and JSONExperience designing and operating integrations across multiple systems and servicesAbility to balance rapid delivery with scalability, security, and platform standardsExperience building internal tools or automations for technology and business teamsFamiliarity with enterprise security, compliance, and data governanceStrong cross-functional collaboration skillsAbility to decompose complex problems and deliver clear, practical solutions
