Cloud DevOps Engineer

Job Description Everforth ECS is seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer to work in our Arlington, VA office / remote. We’re looking for an engineer with strong hands-on experience across Linux, Windows, and cloud-native environments, paired with a deep automation mindset. You’ve built and maintained CI/CD pipelines, written IaC at scale, and worked in compliance-driven environments where NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, and DISA STIGs aren’t foreign concepts. They’re part of your normal workflow. You operate independently, you communicate well across technical and non-technical stakeholders, and you take ownership of your work from design through deployment. Experience supporting federal customers in air-gapped environments is a meaningful differentiator for this role. What You’ll Do Design and deploy secure cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform, Ansible, and/or CloudFormation Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) that bake security in from the start Write automation in Ansible coupled with Infrastructure defined by Terraform code to cut down on manual work and keep deployments consistent Deploy and troubleshoot cloud-native applications across EC2, VPC, EKS, S3, RDS, AWS Bedrock, and related AWS services Implement and maintain security controls including IAM, encryption, network security, SELinux, and kernel hardening Apply DISA STIGs and ensure compliance with NIST 800-53 and FedRAMP requirements Support containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes/EKS Collaborate with development and security teams to push DevSecOps practices forward Keep documentation current so the next person isn’t starting from scratch Salary: $130,000 - $160,000 Benefits General Description of Benefits Required Skills Must have US citizenship.Ability to pass a Public Trust investigation.Bachelor's degree in a related field.Minimum 3 years of general work experience.AWS certification (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field.
