Senior Data Engineer | AI/Healthcare | $180K-$240K
Jersey City, NJ | Hybrid | Full-Time
We're working with a fast-growing technology company in the AI and healthcare space that's looking to add a Senior Data Engineer to its growing engineering team.
This is a hands-on role focused on building and scaling production data infrastructure that supports high-volume applications, analytics, and machine learning systems.
You'll own critical pipelines from ingestion through transformation and storage while working closely with backend and ML engineers.
What You'll Do
Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-throughput data pipelinesBuild integrations with external systems using APIs, webhooks, and change data capture (CDC)Transform, validate, and normalize complex datasets for production and analytical useDesign and optimize schemas across Snowflake and MySQLBuild data infrastructure supporting real-time applications and downstream ML workloadsDeploy and operate production data pipelines and services in AWSImplement monitoring, logging, alerting, and data-quality checksImprove pipeline reliability, scalability, and performanceBuild internal tooling around data ingestion, validation, and monitoringPartner closely with backend and ML engineersEnsure appropriate security and compliance practices for sensitive dataWhat You Need
5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Backend EngineeringStrong Python and SQLHands-on experience with Snowflake and MySQLExperience designing and building production data pipelinesProduction experience with AWSExperience with APIs, webhooks, and event-driven architecturesExperience with CDC or high-volume database ingestionStrong understanding of schema design and database performance optimizationExperience working with sensitive or regulated dataBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical fieldAbility to work onsite in Jersey City, NJ at least 3 days per weekNice to Have
