We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and enterprise services that power modern digital platforms.
This role is ideal for an engineer with strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices development who enjoys building reliable, high-performance backend systems in a collaborative Agile environment.
The ideal candidate has solid software engineering fundamentals, experience developing enterprise applications, and a passion for building secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and related technologiesBuild and support RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend integrations that are secure, scalable, and maintainableCollaborate with product owners, architects, QA engineers, and development teams to deliver high-quality software solutionsParticipate in code reviews, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimizationDevelop and optimize database interactions, data models, and application performanceContribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and software deployment processesFollow software engineering best practices, coding standards, and secure development principlesSupport production applications and assist with issue resolution as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications
5–7 years of experience in Java backend developmentStrong experience with Core Java, including object-oriented programming, collections, exception handling, and multithreading and asynchronous programming.Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring SecurityExperience developing and consuming RESTful APIs and microserviceSolid understanding of software design principles and backend architecture patternExperience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or OracleExperience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or RediFamiliarity with event-driven architecture and asynchronous processingFamiliarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging technologiesExperience using Git, Maven or Gradle, and CI/CD toolStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in Agile development environmentExcellent communication and collaboration skill

Experience with Docker and containerized application developmentExposure to Kubernetes and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCPUnderstanding of distributed systems concepts and resiliency patternsExposure to modern AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and AI agentsAI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code Experience working in financial services, healthcare, or other regulated industry.
