Job Description: Software QA Engineer – Aerion Technologies Nepal
Role Purpose The Software QA Engineer ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and defect-free software by designing, implementing, and executing effective test strategies, identifying and reporting issues, and continuously improving testing processes to support efficient and successful product development.
Responsibilities: Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project specifications and provide input on quality requirements Conduct thorough testing of software applications, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing Identify and document software defects and track them to resolution Work closely with developers to ensure timely and accurate defect resolution Create and maintain test data, test environments, and test documentation Perform automated testing using appropriate tools and frameworks Monitor and analyze test results, and provide comprehensive reports to stakeholders Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on quality-related issues Contribute to the improvement of QA processes and best practices Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in software testing
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field 5 years plus of professional experience as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer or similar role Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes Proficiency in creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts Experience with various testing techniques, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing Knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools like Playwright, Selenium, Cypress etc.
Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC and agile methodologies Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with meticulous attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
