Position: Senior Java Developer
Location: Toronto Ontario
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain low-latency, high-throughput Java applications using Java 17+ while adhering to OOP principles, SOLID principles, and industry-standard design patterns.Build scalable and resilient backend services using Spring Boot and Spring Framework, ensuring optimal performance, maintainability, and security.Develop highly concurrent systems utilizing multithreading, thread pools, synchronization mechanisms, locks, atomic operations, and the java.util.concurrent framework.Analyze and optimize application performance by identifying and resolving race conditions, deadlocks, memory leaks, garbage collection issues, and latency bottlenecks.Design and implement efficient database solutions, including complex SQL queries, indexing strategies, transaction management, and query performance tuning across Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server.Develop event-driven and batch processing solutions using Spring Data, Spring Batch, Spring Integration, and transaction management frameworks.Work extensively in Linux/Unix environments, performing system administration tasks, shell scripting, process monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance analysis.Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, enabling automated build, testing, deployment, and release management through Pipeline-as-Code (Jenkinsfiles).Collaborate with cross-functional development teams using Git-based version control systems, following branching strategies, code reviews, merging, rebasing, and repository management best practices.Monitor and optimize application performance across infrastructure, JVM, database, and network layers to meet stringent SLA, throughput, and response-time requirements.Integrate AI/ML capabilities into enterprise applications by supporting model deployment, inference workflows, data preprocessing, and production integrations where applicable.Participate in architecture discussions and code reviews, contributing to the design of high-performance distributed systems with a focus on scalability, reliability, observability, and operational excellence.
