Senior C++ Software Engineer A leading global provider of software solutions for the healthcare sector is looking for an experienced engineer to join the team in Hanover. This role focuses on developing high-end components for medical desktop applications that impact clinical environments across 19 countries. The successful candidate will drive the modernization of core systems while utilizing advanced AI tools to enhance engineering workflows. What you'll be doing • Design and develop high-performance C++ components for scalable medical desktop applications. • Architect and implement complex multithreading concepts to ensure responsive execution in clinical settings. • Analyze and optimize large codebases using Qt, CMake, Conan, and MSVC to identify and resolve bottlenecks. • Lead the modernization of legacy frameworks toward modern C++ and current .NET standards. • Utilize AI agents and tools like Claude Code to accelerate refactoring and legacy system modernization. What we're looking for • Extensive professional experience in C++ development with a focus on high-performance, parallelized systems. • University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline. • Deep expertise in modern C++ (14/17/20), concurrency, debugging, and performance tuning. • Proficiency with Qt, CMake, Conan, MSVC, and integrating components such as CEF. • Fluency in both German and English for effective communication with international stakeholders.
