Senior IT Security & Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Amman, Jordan
Experience: 5+ years
We are looking for a Senior IT Security & Infrastructure Engineer with strong hands-on experience in enterprise security, Microsoft technologies, Azure, endpoint security, and IT infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for securing and maintaining enterprise environments across identity, endpoints, servers, cloud, network, and security operations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain enterprise cybersecurity and IT security infrastructure.Administer Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including identity, access management, MFA, RBAC, Conditional Access, and privileged access.Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, authentication services, and Windows Server environments.Manage endpoint security and device management using Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint/XDR, and other endpoint security solutions.Administer ManageEngine Endpoint Central for endpoint management, patch management, software deployment, OS upgrades, BitLocker, and remote administration.Administer and maintain Splunk for log collection, security monitoring, dashboards, detection, and incident investigation.Monitor security alerts, perform threat hunting, investigate security incidents, and coordinate incident response activities.Perform vulnerability assessments, analyze findings, and coordinate remediation across Windows servers and endpoints.Manage and support Windows patching, security updates, endpoint compliance, and hardening.Manage and support network security technologies including firewalls, VPNs, NPS, and 802.1X.Manage and monitor security solutions such as Trend Micro Vision One/XDR and NDR.Collaborate with NOC, Infrastructure, and IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve security and operational incidents.
Implement security hardening standards, cybersecurity controls, and policies in accordance with Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) cybersecurity requirements.Support security audits, compliance activities, and continuous improvement of the organization’s security posture.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in IT security, cybersecurity engineering, or security infrastructure.
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Entra ID.Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows Server, and endpoint security.Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune and/or enterprise endpoint management platforms.Experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint/XDR or equivalent EDR/XDR solutions.Experience with SIEM platforms, preferably Splunk.Experience in vulnerability management, incident response, threat hunting, and security monitoring.Good knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, and network security.Experience with Windows patch management and security hardening.Experience working in enterprise or regulated environments is preferred.Knowledge of CBJ cybersecurity requirements is an advantage.
