About the Role
We are seeking a Senior AI Platform Engineer / AI Workflow Builder to help build the knowledge, integration, and automation foundation behind a new generation of AI-enabled workflows.
This is a highly hands-on engineering role for someone who has built AI agents or AI-enabled tools that other people actually use.
You will structure complex enterprise knowledge so AI agents can reliably find and use it, connect AI workflows to live systems and data sources, and build the automation, traceability, and measurement needed to support these solutions at scale.
This person will write and ship production code every day and should bring a combination of agentic AI development, software engineering, systems integration, knowledge architecture, and platform engineering.
What You'll Do
Build AI agents, reusable AI capabilities, and multi-step agentic workflows.Structure complex and fragmented enterprise information so AI systems can reliably search, interpret, and use it.Create schemas, taxonomies, metadata structures, and durable reference identifiers that support AI-driven workflows.Connect AI agents to live knowledge sources, files, repositories, tools, and data using MCP (Model Context Protocol), APIs, and related integration patterns.Build integrations and automation across design, engineering, research, code repositories, Jira, and other enterprise platforms.Develop production-quality solutions using Python, TypeScript, APIs, and modern software engineering practices.Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or comparable technologies.Add instrumentation, telemetry, logging, and event tracking to AI workflows so performance and outcomes can be measured.Maintain traceability as information and work move across systems and workflow stages.Build reusable solutions where enterprise knowledge remains separate from the AI tools consuming it, allowing information and models to change without rebuilding the entire solution.Identify additional manual workflows that can be reliably automated with AI.
Required Experience
Hands-on experience building AI agents, reusable AI tools, or multi-step agentic workflows that other people have actually used.Strong production software engineering experience with Python and TypeScript.Experience connecting AI/LLM solutions to external knowledge sources, applications, repositories, APIs, or data.Experience with MCP / Model Context Protocol or closely related LLM integration patterns.Experience structuring complex information for software or AI consumption, including areas such as schema design, taxonomy, metadata, information architecture, content modeling, or knowledge graphs.Strong experience with APIs, systems integration, automation, and data/workflow pipelines.Experience with CI/CD and pipeline automation, such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.Experience with instrumentation, telemetry, observability, logging, or event tracking.Proven ability to independently build and ship production-quality solutions.
Nice to Have
RAG / Retrieval-Augmented Generation and grounding against trusted enterprise knowledge.Vector search and embeddings.Microsoft Copilot Studio or Power Platform.Figma plugin development or familiarity with Figma plugin code.Jira, Confluence, and Atlassian integrations.DesignOps, developer experience, internal tooling, or platform engineering.Experience working in insurance, financial services, healthcare, or another highly regulated enterprise environment.
What We're Looking For
The strongest candidates will be able to describe something they personally built, who used it, and the impact it had.
We are especially interested in examples of:
An AI-enabled internal tool or automated workflow that other people came to rely on.Taking messy, fragmented, or undocumented information and structuring it so AI or software could reliably use it.Connecting an AI system to enterprise knowledge, tools, repositories, or data sources.Building and owning production code supporting an AI-enabled solution.Adding telemetry or measurement to understand how an AI workflow performed.
Important: This is not a role focused primarily on prompting AI assistants or using AI to generate your own code.
We are looking for someone who has built AI-enabled systems and tools for other users and can combine AI engineering with strong platform and software engineering skills.
The hourly pay rate range for this position is $80 to $85 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
