Salary: $81.70 per hour (contractors must be incorporated)
Duration: October 13 or 28, 2026 to October 8, 2027 (with potential two 12-month extensions)
Hours of Work: 7 hours per day (35 hours per week)

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Security Engineer to provide strategic guidance, security expertise for the design, configuration, deployment, and optimization of Salesforce capabilities.
The Senior Security Engineer will also deliver continuous security vulnerability monitoring and develop remediation strategies to platform administrators.
The successful candidate will demonstrate extensive practical experience delivering Salesforce solutions in complex enterprise environments while ensuring alignment with industry security best practices, governance requirements, and business objectives.
Reporting to the Expert Enterprise Cybersecurity, the Security Engineer will be responsible for providing expert advisory and delivery services throughout the lifecycle of Salesforce initiatives, and responsible in establishing a comprehensive Salesforce security and governance framework and security evaluation and testing.
Key priorities should include updating existing organizational Salesforce security standards, implementing code and configuration scanning tools, conducting a full Salesforce org security and health assessment, assessing integration security, establishing continuous monitoring and auditing processes, and assisting in developing a remediation roadmap to address identified gaps.
Travel Requirements: Travel between various Region of Peel locations may be required.
Deliverables:
Security and Compliance
Identify and provide remediation strategies for security vulnerabilities and maximize Salesforce native security tools.Enhance Salesforce security standards and compliance processes with “Secure by Design” principle.
This will guide future Salesforce implementations and ensure consistency across projects and enforce Salesforce security standards and governance practices aligned with Salesforce best practices and organizational cybersecurity standards.Review and optimize:ProfilesPermission SetsPermission Set GroupsRoles and Role HierarchiesSharing RulesOrganization-Wide DefaultsField-Level SecurityRecord-Level SecurityLogin PoliciesSession ControlsMulti-Factor Authentication (MFA)
Identify, assess and recommend improvements to existing SDLC practices including vendor provided code.Conduct security posture assessments to identify configuration, access-control, architecture, and compliance gaps, and develop prioritized remediation actions.Support compliance with applicable regulatory, privacy, and organizational security requirements.Enforce secure coding standards (Apex/LWC) and standardize cure API integration protocols.Collaborate with cybersecurity, IT Solutions, and audit stakeholders to ensure secure platform operations.Advisory and Knowledge Transfer
Provide expert guidance on Salesforce security best practices, and emerging capabilities.Mentor internal technical and business teams.Deliver knowledge transfer and training to support long-term sustainability.
Mandatory Qualifications & Experience:
University or college graduate in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.Minimum 5 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting Salesforce solutions in enterprise environments.Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience architecting Salesforce solutions with responsibility for end-to-end delivery.Demonstrated experience in at least three (3) enterprise Salesforce implementations involving complex business processes and integrations.Demonstrated experience implementing Salesforce security models and controls.Experience with integrating and configuring Salesforce Shield.Experience with DevOps methodologies.Experience with static code analysis and advanced Apex/LWC secure coding knowledge.Experience conducting security reviews, vulnerability management, and risk mitigation practices specific to Salesforce deployments.Demonstrated experience in Identity Access Management configurations within Salesforce (e.g., OAuth, SAML, etc).Strong security audit technical expertise.
