Principal Frontend Engineer

Job title: Prinicpal Frontend Engineer 💻🎨⚛️ Location: San Francisco Bay Area 🇺🇸 🌁 Compensation: $350,000 base salary plus bonus 💸 Harrison Clarke Ventures is currently partnered with multiple tier 1 VC-backed AI/ML startups across HealthTech, Fintech, Greentech and AI within the US. We're on the hunt for Staff Frontend Engineers who know how to build 0-1 customer-facing AI-native products and have seen those products scale to Hundreds of thousands of users What you'll be doing You'll be embedded with a high-growth AI startup, owning the frontend from the ground up. That means shaping product architecture decisions early, working closely with founders and product teams, and building interfaces that make complex AI capabilities feel simple and intuitive to end users. What we're looking for. 6+ years of front end engineering experience, with at least one 0-1 product build under your belt.Deep proficiency in React and modern TypeScriptExperience scaling frontend infrastructure to support large, concurrent user basesA strong eye for UI/UX you care about what you ship, not just that it shipsComfort working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where priorities shiftBonus: experience integrating LLM APIs, streaming interfaces, or real-time data pipelines What's on offer Equity in a company on an early growth trajectoryThe chance to work on products that are genuinely defining a new category Who this is for This is not a maintain-and-iterate role.
