Mobile Developer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner! The Role • Develop and maintain internal tools, frameworks, and infrastructure to ensure the consistency, scalability, and long-term health of an iOS application. • Contribute to CI/CD systems and developer tooling initiatives that enable feature teams to ship code quickly and with confidence. • Address technical debt and improve codebase health within a complex, mature codebase, prioritizing simplicity and maintainability. • Collaborate closely with mobile engineers across different squads, serving as a primary point of contact for platform-related questions, reviews, and best practices. • Take full ownership of well-defined platform initiatives, from initial design and implementation through to delivery and documentation. What You'll Need • 3+ years of professional iOS development experience, with strong proficiency in Swift and modern iOS frameworks. • Experience with or a strong interest in CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling, viewing automation as a key advantage. • A solid understanding of testing methodologies, architectural patterns, and design principles, applied pragmatically. • Adaptability and self-direction, comfortable working beyond the scope of a typical feature team and managing a mix of structured and ambiguous tasks. • Ability to navigate and enhance complex, mature codebases with patience, curiosity, and a long-term perspective. • Clear communication and collaboration skills across teams, adept at context switching and bringing clarity to technical discussions.
