SACR (Software Analyst Cyber Research) is hiring a Content Marketing Specialist & Copywriter to support the marketing operations of an independent cybersecurity research and advisory firm. At SACR, we analyze commercially available security solutions and emerging categories within the cybersecurity market: focusing on how CISOs and security decision-makers evaluate risk, adopt platforms, and form buying conviction. We are a fast-moving startup, and the person in this role will have real ownership and visible impact from day one. - Cloud & AppSec - Security Operations - Data & AI Security - Identity Security Objective of this role We're looking for a content creator and strategist who can turn SACR's technical cybersecurity research into clear, discoverable, visually engaging content, and who understands that discovery increasingly happens through search and AI today. You'll be working with and reporting to the Director of Marketing to grow our social channels and distribution of our reports. This person owns the content calendar end-to-end: translating complex research into shareable formats, and building the SEO and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) foundation that helps our research surface when CISOs and security buyers search for it, whether in Google or in an LLM. The primary goal is to grow SACR's LinkedIn and Website presence through high-quality, expert-driven content, with keyword-driven and search-optimized content as the core long-term growth lever. Our growth to date has been almost entirely organic, so this role is fundamentally about earning attention. The ideal candidate is mid-level, thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable with ambiguity, and can move quickly without sacrificing quality. Job responsibilities What You'll Be Doing: 1. Content writing and storytelling Write sharp, clear copy for posts, captions, carousels, short-form scripts, newsletters, and research-led content that drives organic engagement.Translate dense cybersecurity research into accessible, compelling narratives for CISOs, security buyers, and technical audiences without oversimplifying the subject matter.Develop monthly content strategies and calendars aligned to SACR's research pipeline, campaigns, webinars, product/category themes, and audience priorities.Tailor content for LinkedIn, Reddit, or Substack, and other relevant channels, adapting tone and format by platform.Work with SACR's research and marketing team to create insightful, expert-driven thought leadership content.Repurpose long-form reports, webinars, and articles into posts, threads, carousels, short-form videos, and other shareable formats.Edit and refine content produced by others, maintaining a high bar for clarity, accuracy, brand consistency, and analyst-led tone. 2. Social media Own and manage SACR's organic social presence across LinkedIn/Reddit, and other relevant channels.Plan, schedule, write, and manage the full social content calendar, coordinating timing, themes, formats, and publishing priorities.Develop channel-specific content that builds brand awareness, grows SACR's audience, and makes research easier to understand and share.Track performance, analyze what's working, and use insights to guide monthly content strategy adjustments.Stay current on platform trends, engagement patterns, and emerging content formats across LinkedIn, or Reddit/Substack. 3. Visual content and design Produce or direct the creation of infographics, static posts, GIFs, PDF carousels, and template-based assets in Canva.Work closely with SACR's graphic designer to ensure outputs are on-brand, visually compelling, and aligned with the research message, or be able to create on their own.Develop visual treatments for complex cybersecurity ideas, including simple frameworks, diagrams, carousel structures, and social-first graphics.Create or coordinate short-form video concepts, scripts, briefs, and clips based on SACR research. 4. Content production and management Use AI tools thoughtfully and responsibly as a content partner to accelerate ideation, drafting, repurposing, and editing.Apply strong editorial judgment to every asset, verifying facts, refining copy, and ensuring alignment with the brief, audience, and brand.Help build scalable content production processes that improve speed while maintaining quality.Maintain consistency across SACR's content, social presence, and campaign materials. Skills & Qualifications What We're Looking For: Proven content writing, editing, copywriting, and social media experience, ideally in a B2B, cybersecurity, IT, SaaS, or agency environment.Hands-on SEO and keyword strategy experience: able to research search intent, target keywords, and structure/advise content to capture organic search traffic.Familiarity with GEO (Generative Engine Optimization): structuring content so it's surfaced and cited by LLM-driven search. A strong plus if not yet deep.Strong ability to simplify technical or complex ideas for executive and security-buyer audiences without oversimplifying.Comfort with analytics and measurement tooling: Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, or native LinkedIn and Substack analytics: to track what's working and adjust monthly strategy.Proficiency in Canva required; moderate Photoshop skills are a plus.Experience creating and repurposing content for LinkedIn and Substack (report carousels, market maps, newsletters, timely/news-driven posts, collaborations). Reddit and YouTube familiarity is a plus, but not a current priority.Strong understanding of organic-first social strategy, content calendars, and performance reporting.Comfort using AI tools for ideation, drafting, editing, and repurposing.A portfolio demonstrating impactful social content, carousels, infographics, or short-form video is required.Ability to manage multiple content workstreams in a fast-paced startup without losing quality.Agency, B2B marketing, cybersecurity, or IT firm experience is a strong advantage.
