We are looking for passionate Senior Backend Engineers (Java) who are excited to have end-to-end ownership of their domains, working within the full development cycle, and directly impacting the end user experience and value delivery promoting a product mindset by closely working with the business. About The Team Team Create Customer Awareness (CCA) builds the customer interaction, content relevance, and recommendation capabilities that power Kramp's digital experience. We own the systems that decide what customers see, when they see it, and why it's relevant: from personalized homepage content and product recommendations to segmentation, promotions, experimentation (A/B testing & feature toggles), and frictionless onboarding journeys. Our tech stack spans Java, Go, Kotlin, and Next.js on GCP (GKE, Cloud Run, Postgres, Elasticsearch, Neo4j), with ~15 services under our ownership. As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll work on strategic initiatives that shape how customers experience Kramp. You’ll help improve our content management and segmentation capabilities to enable more dynamic and personalized experiences, expand our recommendation engine with category-level intelligence, simplify the infrastructure behind campaigns and landing pages, and build the foundations for more predictive, lifecycle-aware customer experiences. You’ll join a small, collaborative team of four engineers and a Product Owner, where you’ll have real ownership and a direct impact on how millions of B2B customers discover and engage with Kramp, from their very first visit to long-term loyalty. Who are you? Extensive experience (5+ years) in the Java ecosystem, including strong expertise in Spring Boot. Proficient in cloud environments, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Experience using Terraform for infrastructure as code. Skilled in working with diverse storage solutions, including relational and NoSQL databases. Proven ability to design, build, and deliver scalable, well-tested APIs. Hands-on expertise in creating, implementing, and refining CI/CD pipelines. Experienced across the full software development lifecycle and ready to own it end-to-end. Recognized as a proactive communicator with a strong focus on delivering customer-centric solutions. Basic experience with Golang and Kotlin or the eagerness to quickly develop skills in it.
