Description

About Lumo Lumo is an AI operating system for social commerce that replaces time-consuming manual processes with automated, data-driven workflows. The platform tracks over 350 data points in real time to identify revenue leaks and optimise creator operations, eliminating guesswork and spreadsheet-heavy workflows. Built by experienced operators who previously ran over £2.5m in monthly revenue, Lumo embeds practical, proven insights into its product decisions. We help customers work less, target more effectively, and scale faster. The role You will design, build, and maintain the end-to-end web application that our customers use every day. You will work closely with product, design, and data to turn business requirements into scalable, high-performance features across the front end and back end. Day to day you will develop features, implement user interfaces, build APIs and services, consume the data pipelines that feed the product, write automated tests, and take part in code reviews. You will also help improve architecture, performance, and security, and contribute to documentation and engineering practice. A large share of the next year is reporting and analytics surfaces. Lumo already collects the data. The job is turning it into screens a brand manager can read at a glance and act on: dashboards, conversion funnels, and drill-downs from campaign to creator to product to individual video. If you have built reporting interfaces before, you know the hard part is never rendering the numbers. We are hiring a Data Engineer alongside this role. You will not be expected to build the pipelines or the models yourself. You will be expected to turn what they produce into a product people want to open every morning. The stack • Next.js 14 (App Router) • TypeScript end to end • tRPC • Prisma • Postgres on Supabase • Redis • Inngest for background jobs • Clerk for auth • Stripe for billing • shadcn/ui and Tailwind, pgvector with OpenAI embeddings • Playwright and k6 for testing • Sentry and Axiom for observability • GitHub Actions for CI • Modular monolith, pnpm, deploys from main Most of the hard problems sit at the boundaries. We integrate deeply with TikTok and Meta, and those platforms change their rules without warning. Building something that stays reliable on top of them is key. What we are looking for • [5]+ years shipping production full stack TypeScript • You have built data-heavy interfaces. Dashboards, funnels, drill-downs, tables with more columns than anyone should reasonably want, and you care whether the result is actually readable • You have integrated against a large platform API that was rate limited, badly documented and occasionally lying to you, and you shipped anyway • Meaningful time in adtech, creative tech or martech: ad serving, programmatic, campaign tooling, CRM or CDP work, marketing analytics, influencer or affiliate platforms • Comfort with background jobs, queues and eventual consistency • Appetite for scope. This is a small team and the surface area is large Bonus points • You have worked on a creator, influencer or affiliate platform before • Multi-tenant SaaS • You have taken an AI or ML capability built by someone else and made it fast, cheap and reliable enough to ship • A design eye
