Backend Developer - Java Spring Boot

PowTech Solution (M) Sdn Bhd is an IT solutions provider delivering dedicated project teams, led by an experienced Team Leader, to clients across sectors including automatic control, energy, transport, industry, healthcare, and banking. What you'll be working on: Building and maintaining RESTful APIs using Java and Spring BootWorking with message queues (Kafka or similar) to decouple services and handle traffic spikesImplementing retry logic with backoff, and dead-letter queue handling for failed messagesWriting transaction-safe code for financial data, including row-level locking and atomic updates to prevent race conditionsApplying idempotency patterns to prevent duplicate processingFollowing data handling standards for sensitive financial information, including safe logging practicesWorking with caching patterns (cache-aside) to improve performance at scale What we're looking for: Solid hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot in productionReal understanding of distributed systems concepts: queues, retries, DLQs, idempotency, not just familiarity with the termsComfort with relational databases and transaction managementAbility to write clean, working code under time pressure, not just explain conceptsHands-on experience with AWS (e.g. EC2, S3, API Gateway) is a plus Benefits: Competitive salaryOpportunity to collaborate with experienced experts internationallyRoom for career growthExposure to the latest IT technologiesGood working atmosphere
