Description

Job Description The Role: As a Product Delivery Manager (PDM) within our Mobile Apps Product group, you will work with a dedicated development squad to drive the delivery of our customer-facing mobile applications. Our Online Shopping apps are at the heart of our business, driving over 50% of our online trade across 70 international markets and serving millions of active customers with a highly personalised shopping experience. What You’ll Take On: In this role, you will drive end-to-end delivery, ensuring our mobile applications provide exceptional value to our customers and the business. Your daily responsibilities will include: Team Management & Leadership: Guide a cross-functional team of iOS/Android developers and QA engineers by setting clear sprint goals, managing resource allocation, and fostering a collaborative, proactive environment. Stakeholder Partnership: Act as the primary delivery partner for Product Owners, UX designers, and eCommerce leadership. You will translate technical complexities—such as architectural foundations, RESTful API integrations, and deep-linking—into clear, actionable business decisions. Agile Governance & Delivery: Manage project budgets, document dependencies, and proactively mitigate release risks to ensure smooth deployment pipelines. You will champion the delivery of high-quality MVP software in a fast-paced retail environment . Product Health & Excellence: Embed the engineering philosophy of “We build it, We release it, We own it”. Work with the team to ensure robust quality gates are met—including automated unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, and strict performance and observability standards. What You’ll Bring: We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented delivery professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-team environment. Essential Experience & Skills: IT Project Management: Proven experience driving software delivery, ideally managing enterprise-level, customer-facing mobile applications. Mobile Ecosystem Familiarity: An understanding of native Mobile App ecosystems, like Xcode IDE, and modern frameworks like SwiftUI. Agile Expertise: A solid grasp of core Agile principles (Scrum/Kanban) with experience managing backlogs and reporting project status via ADO or Jira. Communication & Facilitation: The ability to make complex mobile architectures sound simple, whether you are collaborating with an iOS Lead Engineer or presenting delivery timelines to non-technical senior leadership. Collaborative Problem Solving: A proactive approach to teamwork, showing resilience during peak seasonal retail periods and always bringing potential solutions to technical bottlenecks. Desirable Skills (Nice to Have): CI/CD & Automation: Experience working with Git, ADO pipelines, and automated mobile testing frameworks (XCTest). Accessibility & Deep-linking: A passion for inclusive design, including familiarity with Apple's Accessibility Framework and an understanding of universal links or custom URLs. Cross-Platform Awareness: Knowledge of Android development using Kotlin/Compose is advantageous. AI & Emerging Tech: Knowledge of emerging AI innovations, such as on-device model execution, or practical experience using AI tools to assist in translating mobile features written in Xcode/Swift to Kotlin/Compose (or vice-versa).
