About This Role
Wells Fargo is seeking a seasoned Lead Infrastructure Engineer to join our App and Web Engineering team and build the automation foundations that provision, manage, and scale our enterprise application and web server hosting platforms.
This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who understands the operational complexity of running large-scale server environments and is passionate about enabling frictionless self-service through automation.
You will lead by example-designing and implementing modular IaC components and GitOps workflows that abstract the complexity of provisioning and managing application/web servers, configuring runtime settings, tuning performance parameters, enforcing security policies, integrating with routing layers, and ensuring end-to-end observability.
In This Role, You Will
Lead complex initiatives to develop infrastructure to provide solutions for business applicationsLead large-scale initiatives to automate provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle operations for application and web server platforms (Tomcat, Apache HTTPD, IBM Liberty, NGINX, etc.)Lead the timely creation, testing, packaging, and publication of approved platform releases and binariesDevelop and maintain automation solutions using scripting languages and infrastructure automation toolsServe as the technical lead and subject matter expert for enterprise web and application server platformsReview and analyze high impact outages to ensure the proper processes and procedures are in place to avoid problems in the futureDesign, build, deploy and maintain infrastructure solutions through collaborative efforts with the team and third party vendorsDesign, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practicesMake decisions in technical designs, implementation plans and identify project risks and resource requirementsDirect the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures and work standards to ensure successRecommend courses of action to maintain cost effectiveness and achieve resultsCollaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education5+ years of full-stack or backend software development experience using Java3+ years of experience with IaC tools such as Ansible or Terraform
Desired Qualifications:
3+ years of experience deploying and operating one or more application/web server technologies (Tomcat, Apache HTTPD, IBM Liberty, NGINX, etc.)3+ years of experience implementing GitOps or similar automation practices.2+ years of experience with Kubernetes/OCP, containerization, and hybrid cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)2+ years of experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating automation into platform services

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position.
Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location.
Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
$119,000.00 - $224,000.00
