Microsoft Azure Cloud Services Design and architect solutions in azure cloud using services across compute, network, storage and databaseDeep understanding of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings for enterprise architectureAzure Networking - Strong knowledge and experience to design, deploy, troubleshoot azure virtual network, subnets, Network Security Groups(NSG), route tables, private & service endpoints Azure DevOps Expertise in CI/CD pipeline design, release management, and automation.Infrastructure as Code (IaC)Author terraform code from scratch to deploy various azure resources with ability to create custom terraform modulesProficiency in Terraform and Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates for automated deployments. Backup: Azure Backup & Disaster Recovery or any other relevant Backup TechnologiesAzure Monitoring & GovernanceUsing Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Microsoft Sentinel for proactive monitoring and compliance. Version Control & Collaboration Strong knowledge of Git for source control and integration with DevOps workflows.Virtualization TechnologiesExperience with VMware for hybrid cloud and migration scenarios. Operating Systems ● Skilled in managing Windows and Linux workloads in Azure environments and supporting enterprise level changes. Automation & Scripting ● Expertise in PowerShell, Azure CLI, and automation tools for operational efficiency. Security & Identity Management ● Implementing Azure AD, RBAC, Conditional Access, and governance policies. ● Experience in Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) for identity and access management in hybrid environments. ● Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) for cloud identity, authentication, and authorization. Containerization and Orchestration (Additional) ● Knowledge of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) for container orchestration and scaling workloads. ● Knowledge of Docker for containerization of applications and microservices. FinOps: ● Implement cost optimization strategies across Azure services using Azure Cost Management and Advisor. ● Monitor and analyze cloud spending to identify savings opportunities and eliminate waste. ● Design architectures that balance performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. Architecture Diagrams & Documentation: ● Ability to create High Level & Low-Level Architecture diagrams of azure solutions using tools such as lucid, visio or draw.io Roles & Responsibilities ● Adhere to Corporate Policies and Procedures, including Code of Conduct, Audit Procedures and any control related ● Understand customer business requirements and translate them into secure, scalable Azure solutions. ● Collaborate with stakeholders to define architecture, technical standards, and cloud adoption strategies. ● Design and implement Azure services including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, networking, and security components. ● Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and ARM templates for automated deployments. ● Build and manage CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps for application and infrastructure delivery. ● Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies using Azure Backup and Site Recovery or any Relevant Backup solution ● Ensure compliance and governance through Azure Policy, RBAC, and security best practices. ● Monitor and optimize cloud environments using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Sentinel. ● Provide technical leadership, documentation, and guidance to development and operations teams. ● Communicate effectively with business and technical teams, demonstrating problem-solving and decision-making skills. ● proactive, professional, sets and manages clear expectations, and is clear to technical and non-technical audiences ● Build strong relationships with peers across all Ultragenyx teams.
