Cloud Engineer – GCP Landing Zones

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer specializing in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Landing Zones to join our engineering organization.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, architecting, automating, and maintaining secure and highly scalable GCP environments supporting AI, Deep Learning, GPU, and HPC workloads.
You will work closely with engineering, networking, security, and operations teams to build robust cloud infrastructure, resource hierarchies, advanced network architectures, and automated security controls designed for large-scale compute environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement GCP Landing Zones, including organization, folder, and project structures, billing, labels, organizational policies, and security controls.Build and maintain automated infrastructure and platform modules across networking, compute, storage, databases, and IAM.Design and implement advanced GCP networking and hybrid connectivity, including:Shared VPCHub-and-spoke architecturesCloud InterconnectVPNPrivate Service ConnectDNSIPAMDevelop scalable and secure cloud infrastructure supporting AI, GPU, Deep Learning, and HPC workloads.Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, security controls, and operational processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).Monitor infrastructure performance and implement improvements focused on low latency, high bandwidth, reliability, and data integrity.Collaborate with engineering, networking, security, and operations teams on infrastructure architecture and implementation.Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.Contribute to long-term infrastructure strategy, capacity planning, and cloud scaling initiatives.Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, and cloud platform issues.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.7+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform engineering, cloud engineering, or related roles.4+ years of hands-on GCP experience, specifically involving:GCP Landing ZonesResource hierarchyShared VPCOrganization policiesIAMSecurity controlsDemonstrated experience successfully implementing multiple GCP Landing Zones in production environments.Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud automation.Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.Strong understanding of cloud networking and hybrid network architectures.Experience supporting or working with GPU infrastructure, ideally including NVIDIA Blackwell and/or AMD Instinct architectures.Strong programming, scripting, and automation capabilities.Advanced knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced engineering environment.
