About the Role We are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer with proven hands-on commercial experience building Shopify storefronts using Shopify Hydrogen and modern headless architecture. This is not a traditional Shopify Liquid/theme-development role. You will lead the development of DCYPHER’s customer-facing digital experience, working across our Shopify headless architecture and owning the frontend codebase, technical standards and customer experience.This is a hands-on engineering role combining strong React development with technical leadership. You’ll work closely with our Senior Ecommerce Manager and wider technology team to deliver our ecommerce roadmap and help shape the future of DCYPHER’s engineering function. Essential Experience We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate specific examples of Hydrogen storefronts they have personally built, the technical challenges they encountered and how they solved them. To be considered for this role, you must have: · Hands-on commercial experience building and deploying Shopify storefronts using Shopify Hydrogen · Strong experience working within headless Shopify architecture · Advanced React experience in production environments · TypeScript · Remix · GraphQL · Shopify Storefront APIs / Shopify APIs · Strong JavaScript experience · Responsive frontend development · Performance optimisation and Core Web Vitals · Technical SEO · Accessibility · Git · Unit testing using Jest / React Testing Library Key Responsibilities Shopify Hydrogen & Frontend Engineering · Lead frontend development across our Shopify headless architecture. · Build and develop Shopify storefront experiences using Hydrogen, React and Remix. · Own and continually improve the frontend codebase. · Build reusable React components. · Develop scalable TypeScript applications. · Work with Shopify APIs and GraphQL. · Create responsive customer experiences across all devices. · Review and improve existing code. · Maintain high coding standards. · Contribute to future platform architecture.
