Description

To start shortly, we are currently seeking for our Vehicle Development division an (Sr.) Engineer for Steering Engineering Design (M/F/D) You will be responsible for Responsible for engineering of steering system development from concept to SOP (column, gear, rear-wh. steering etc.)Co-work with cross-functional teams to ensure design compatibility and target definition (cost, weight, perf. etc.)Preparation of concept designs, system- and part development to achieve agreed targetsEngineering order preparation and release for related componentsAlignment with manufacturing sites, quality and procurement teams to ensure vehicle production and quality targetsProvide proposals to optimize existing components and development standardsProject planning (budget, resources and timeframe) including documentation and status/result presentationClose cooperation with HMETC departments, EU local suppliers and our R&D Center in Namyang (South Korea) Who We Are Looking For Degree in mechanical/ automotive engineeringMore than 5 years of experience in the automotive industry at OEM or Tier 1 (working on or with premium EU automotive brands is a plus)Excellent knowledge of steering design, technology and related OEM R&D processes incl. drawing releaseExperience in using CATIA V5 (not modeling) and data systems like PLM, BOM etc.Experience with premium and / or advanced steering technology, e.g. rear-wheel steeringHigh pro-activeness and willingness to work in a multi-disciplinary project group (simulation, engineering and testing)Willingness to travel (including longer business trips to Korea) and valid European driving license BA very good command of English, intercultural & communication skillsProficient in presenting, reporting and handling Microsoft applications like PowerPoint and Excel Contact For questions and details please do not hesitate to contact Ms. Wilcke.
