Description
About Nebul
At Nebul, we’re building Europe’s sovereign AI cloud — trusted, secure, and purpose-built for the next generation of intelligent infrastructure.
We are a small, deeply technical team designing and operating cloud and datacenter platforms from the ground up, with a strong focus on security, compliance, and long-term scalability.
Our platform delivers world-class AI and HPC capabilities while abstracting extreme infrastructure complexity through clear architectures, strong automation, and well-defined product roadmaps.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Network Automation Engineer, you design, build, and maintain the automation systems that power Nebul’s datacenter and cloud networking environments.
You operate at the intersection of network engineering and software development, turning complex infrastructure requirements into scalable, reliable automation.
You are not just maintaining scripts — you are building the foundation for consistent, repeatable, and secure network operations across high-performance AI and cloud platforms.
You define how our network infrastructure is deployed, configured, validated, and evolved across datacenter fabrics, cloud interconnects, and Kubernetes-based platforms.
You work closely with platform engineers, infrastructure teams, and vendors to ensure Nebul’s network environments are automated, resilient, and ready to scale.
This role requires strong hands-on technical depth: you must be able to work confidently with network architecture, automation frameworks, configuration management, observability, and operational workflows, and improve delivery through code and engineering discipline.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain automation for Nebul’s datacenter and cloud networking infrastructure.Develop repeatable workflows for provisioning, configuration, validation, and lifecycle management of network devices and services.Automate operations across:Datacenter network fabricsEthernet and high-performance network environmentsCloud and hybrid connectivityKubernetes-related network integrationsBuild and maintain tooling for configuration generation, deployment, testing, and compliance validation.Improve network reliability and operational efficiency through CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and automated change management.Work closely with platform and infrastructure teams to integrate network automation into broader cloud platform delivery.Support observability, telemetry, and troubleshooting workflows through automated data collection and analysis.Collaborate with hardware and software vendors to ensure interoperability and operational consistency.Ensure network automation aligns with security, compliance, and sovereign cloud requirements.Balance speed of delivery with reliability, maintainability, and operational safety.
What Your Day Will Not Look Like
Logging into devices manually for repetitive configuration changes.Maintaining fragile one-off scripts with no engineering standards.Operating networks without testing, validation, or rollback mechanisms.Acting purely as a traditional network administrator without automation ownership.Working disconnected from the broader platform, cloud, and infrastructure roadmap. What You Bring
5+ years of experience in network engineering, infrastructure automation, or related roles.Strong hands-on knowledge of:Network automation frameworks and toolingDatacenter networking concepts and operationsPython or similar scripting/programming languagesInfrastructure-as-code and configuration management practicesExperience automating configuration, validation, and operational workflows in production environments.Solid understanding of network protocols, switching, routing, and network services.Confidence working with engineers, platform teams, and vendors on deep technical topics.Structured, analytical mindset with strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
Bonus Points If You Have
Experience with AI/HPC networking environments.Knowledge of Ethernet fabrics and InfiniBand environments.Experience with Kubernetes networking and cloud-native infrastructure.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, and automated testing for infrastructure.Experience with observability, telemetry, and network compliance tooling. Background working in large-scale cloud, datacenter, or service provider environments.
