DevOps Engineer

DevOps Engineer Location: New York, United States Employment Type: Full-time Experience: 2–8 years Salary: $80,000–$250,000 USD per annum Notice Period: 30 days About The Role We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team in New York. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, automating, and maintaining reliable infrastructure and deployment processes while collaborating closely with development, security, and operations teams. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain scalable, highly available infrastructure.Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated application delivery.Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and operational processes.Manage cloud environments and deployment platforms.Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability.Implement logging, monitoring, alerting, and incident-response processes.Collaborate with developers to improve application deployment and operational efficiency.Implement Infrastructure as Code and configuration-management practices.Support containerized applications and orchestration platforms.Identify and resolve infrastructure, deployment, and production issues.Apply security and compliance best practices across infrastructure and deployment workflows.Document infrastructure, processes, and operational procedures.Continuously evaluate and introduce tools and practices that improve engineering productivity and system reliability. Required Qualifications 2–8 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or a related role.Strong experience with Linux/Unix environments and system administration.Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.Proficiency with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.Experience with Docker and containerized environments.Familiarity with Kubernetes or another container orchestration platform.Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.Working knowledge of Git and modern software-development workflows.Understanding of networking, security, monitoring, and troubleshooting concepts.Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Kubernetes in production environments.Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar platforms.Knowledge of Helm and Kubernetes deployment practices.Experience implementing DevSecOps practices.Familiarity with microservices and distributed systems.Experience with high-availability and disaster-recovery strategies.Relevant cloud or DevOps certifications Skills: cloud,devops,infrastructure,kubernetes,reliability
