Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain reusable platform components, services, and applications that enable and accelerate other product teams across the Tyler ecosystemPartner closely with internal product and engineering teams to understand their needs and deliver scalable, well-documented solutions that drive adoptionLead the design and implementation of shared frameworks, microservices, APIs, and developer tooling used by multiple downstream teamsContribute to architectural decisions, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with long-term platform strategyChampion best practices in API design, documentation, usability, and developer experience for internal consumersDrive and participate in code reviews, providing mentorship and ensuring high standards for code quality, performance, and maintainabilityProactively identify opportunities to improve platform reliability, performance, and developer productivityCollaborate across teams to support integration, deployment, and operational needs, including troubleshooting complex cross-team issuesContribute to and lead efforts around cloud adoption, infrastructure modernization, and platform evolutionImprove and standardize internal engineering processes, CI/CD pipelines, and development workflowsParticipate in agile development processes, helping define and refine work to deliver consistent value
Qualifications
BS/BA in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experienceProven experience designing and delivering scalable, distributed systems in a senior or lead engineering capacityStrong ability to manage multiple priorities, deliver on commitments, and operate with a high degree of ownershipDemonstrated experience collaborating across teams and influencing technical direction beyond immediate scopeProficiency in C# (.NET 10) and building production-grade servicesExperience designing and building RESTful APIs with a focus on usability and consistencyExperience with modern front-end technologies (HTML, JavaScript/TypeScript, and frameworks such as Angular)Familiarity with Linux-based environments, Git, and containerization technologies (Docker)Experience with test-driven development and building maintainable, testable systems
