Student Development Specialist (Couples Role) – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required and Assistance provided 📍 Hershey, PA | Full-time | On-campus housing provided An exceptional private residential school is seeking couples to serve as Development Specialists / Houseparents. In this unique role, you will live on campus and provide a safe, nurturing, and structured home environment for 8–12 students. Houseparents play a vital role in mentoring students, supporting their personal and academic growth, and creating a family-like atmosphere that helps students thrive. Key Responsibilities Reside full-time in a student home and provide consistent care and guidance.Support students with daily routines, transportation, meal preparation, budgeting, and administering medication.Collaborate with school staff to ensure student well-being, development, and safety.Serve as positive role models while maintaining a structured and supportive home life.Schedule & Lifestyle Nine days on, three days off rotation.Personal time during school hours.Three weeks of paid summer vacation.Compensation & Benefits $44,768 per person + comprehensive benefits.Total compensation package valued at ~$165,000 per couple, including:Free on-campus housing, utilities, and meals while on duty.Medical, dental, vision, retirement savings, and life insurance.Relocation assistance & paid training.Qualifications Both Spouses must apply together (2 applications required)Both spouses must be of the required age bracketHigh school diploma or GED required.Experience working or volunteering (underserved backgrounds preferred).Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to drive student vans.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Abide by a smoke-free, weapon-free, alcohol-free (while on duty) campus policy.Pet policy: one dog (approved breeds) and fish permitted.✨ This is a rare opportunity to make a lasting impact on young lives while enjoying a supportive community, generous benefits, and a meaningful career as a couple.
