About the Role As an SDE-1 at Everyday Labs, you will join a high-leverage engineering initiative designed to architect and deploy advanced technical solutions for the company’s most critical challenges. What the role entails: Learning about FintechBuilding and maintaining services, APIs and features - on a stack that consists mainly of Python, BigQuery and SQLWriting the background jobs that keep our data in sync, and the internal dashboards the squad uses to run the businessTaking your work all the way through - tested, reviewed, verified on staging, and working in productionWorking with internal and external partners on integrations What we're looking for: Strong problem solving skills - you break a vague, messy problem into steps and work it through instead of stallingReadable code - clear names, obvious structure, code that explains itselfRobust code - you think about the empty list, the missing value, the duplicate run, not just the happy pathStrong SQL - joins, aggregation, indexing, and a sense of what makes a query expensiveDebugging - you trace problems to the source instead of guessingOwnership - you take responsibility and see things throughTesting your own work before calling it doneReading code before writing it, so what you add fits the codebase it lands inClear written English - most of our coordination is written Why join us?
