Backend Engineer

Qualification : At least 3 years of professional work experience in Backend EngineeringStrong professional experience in development using Golang, as well as MySQL and/or PostgreSQLIn-depth experience working with legacy codebases, with a proven track record of successfully refactoring or upgrading architecture without disrupting the stability of the running systemStrong understanding of design patterns, microservice architecture, database query optimization, and regression mitigation strategiesExperience implementing CI/CD, writing strong automated tests (unit, integration, E2E), and utilizing monitoring and APM toolsProficient in leveraging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to accelerate development, while maintaining code quality and the ability to review and validate AI-generated codeStrong communication skills to articulate the urgency of addressing technical improvements (technical debt) to both engineers and technical/non-technical stakeholdersWilling to work from the office (WFO)Responsibilities : Produce high-quality, secure, and maintainable code for new features, and deliver them on scheduleProactively audit the existing codebase, identify technical debt and performance bottlenecks, diagnose the root causes of regressions, and lead technical improvement initiativesUphold code quality through rigorous and constructive code reviews, ensure adherence to automated testing standards, and contribute to improving coding standardsCollaborate with other engineers to design and implement system architecture for new and existing servicesMonitor production system performance, troubleshoot and resolve production issues, and drive optimizations based on monitoring data
