Controls & Automation Engineer Location: Onsite – Single Facility Industry: Food Manufacturing / Packaging Travel: None Salary: $90,000–$120,000 Visa Sponsorship: TN Visa / H-1B We are seeking a hands-on Controls & Automation Engineer to support a highly automated food manufacturing facility. This is a floor-based troubleshooting and commissioning role—not a desk-based programming position. The facility has approximately 30 machines, including packaging equipment, mixers, X-ray inspection systems, washing and cooking equipment. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair automated machinery directly on the production floor.Read electrical drawings and trace signals to identify faults.Physically inspect sensors, inputs, outputs, motors, drives, and other hardware.Troubleshoot both hardware and PLC logic issues.Commission and start up new and existing machinery.Diagnose root causes and get equipment back into production.Work with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to improve machine reliability. Requirements Strong hands-on industrial automation/controls experience.Experience troubleshooting machinery on the production floor.Ability to read electrical schematics and trace control signals.Strong understanding of sensors, I/O, and industrial control hardware.PLC troubleshooting experience with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens.Experience commissioning and bringing machines into operation.Food manufacturing, packaging, pharmaceutical, inspection, or warehouse automation experience is a plus.
