What you will do:
Provide advanced (2nd/3rd level) support for Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), RDS and VDI services, including escalation support when needed.Manage and troubleshoot AVD environments, including host pools, session hosts, workspaces, application groups and published applications.Own the golden image lifecycle — building, patching, validating and deploying session host images.Manage FSLogix profiles, storage performance, user sessions and profile recovery.Monitor service health, performance and incidents, perform root cause analysis and drive improvements.Support patching, security activities, change management and migration from legacy VDI/RDS platforms to Azure AVD.Standardise application delivery, maintain technical documentation and share knowledge with support teams.Identify opportunities for automation, process improvements and better user experience.
What you bring:
5+ years of hands-on experience in VDI/EUC operations with AVD and RDS/Citrix environments.Strong knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop, including host pools, session hosts, application groups, scaling and troubleshooting.Experience with FSLogix profiles, Azure Files, storage solutions and Windows multi-session environments.Knowledge of golden image management, application packaging, patching and release processes.Good PowerShell scripting skills.Experience with IT service management processes, change/problem management and vendor collaboration.Degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent professional experience.Fluent English communication skills.Nice to have: Experience with Nerdio Manager and enterprise B2B environments.
