Forward Deployed Engineer $180,000-$285,000 base salary plus competitive equity San Francisco ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE - PLEASE REVIEW BEFORE APPLYING We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate: • Approximately 2-6 years of software engineering or forward-deployed engineering experience. • Strong production Python backend engineering. • Practical React and TypeScript experience. • Personal ownership of production AI-agent, LLM or similarly complex intelligent workflows. • Customer-facing deployment, discovery or use-case scoping experience. • A Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related technical degree. • Willingness to remain hands-on and work four days per week in San Francisco. THE OPPORTUNITY The client is a Series B healthcare AI company building Carebricks, a platform that enables health systems to create and deploy AI agents for clinical and operational workflows. With serious backing it is already deployed at major health systems. This role is for an engineer who enjoys working directly with users and turning ambiguous, high-value problems into production software. You will partner with clinicians and hospital teams, scope AI-agent deployments, build and evaluate those agents, and iterate rapidly using clinical and operational feedback. WHAT YOU WILL DO • Translate clinical and operational needs into deployable AI-agent workflows. • Build production backend and full-stack software using Python, React and TypeScript. • Work with clinicians, hospital IT and internal product leads from discovery through deployment. • Evaluate and improve agents against clinical guidelines and real-world outcomes. • Help shape the product through direct feedback from healthcare environments. HELPFUL, BUT NOT ESSENTIAL Healthcare AI, health-tech, FHIR, EHR integrations, Rust, Kubernetes, Helm, AWS and experience monitoring production AI systems.
