Technical Product Owner

Project Overview: Intellias is partnering with a Fortune 100, Midwest-based industrial manufacturer to modernize and expand a suite of cloud-based services and data products used by a global network of dealers, enterprise customers, and internal business units. Our cross-functional teams deliver scalable APIs, event-driven services, and analytics pipelines that power quoting, ordering, asset telemetry, diagnostics, and lifecycle support for heavy equipment in the field. Requirements: 6+ years of experience as a Technical Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role in Agile software delivery environments (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)Proven experience managing product backlogs of medium-to-high complexity, including prioritization using advanced techniques (e.g., MoSCoW, RICE, value vs. complexity)Strong expertise in requirements lifecycle management: elicitation, documentation (user stories, acceptance criteria), validation, and traceabilityExperience translating business needs into technical solutions in collaboration with engineering teams (preferably Java-based ecosystems, microservices architectures)Solid understanding of software architecture fundamentals, APIs, data flows, and distributed systemsDemonstrated ability to define product vision and roadmap aligned with business goals and stakeholder expectationsExperience facilitating stakeholder engagement and communication across multiple levels (business, technical, leadership)Hands-on experience with Agile ceremonies (backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and ownership of delivery outcomesStrong analytical skills with experience in current state analysis, gap analysis, and solution evaluationExperience working with metrics and KPIs to measure product performance and drive continuous improvementStrong ownership, decision-making capability, and ability to balance business value, technical constraints, and delivery timelinesExcellent communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiencesNice to Have Experience working in cloud-based environments on AWS and understanding of cloud-native product constraintsExpertise in writing simple queries using SQL (DB experience)Background in data-driven products, analytics platforms, or event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka)Experience with enterprise-scale products or multi-team/multi-product environmentsFamiliarity with UX/UI principles and collaboration with design teamsExperience in automotive, industrial, or IoT domainsCertification such as PSPO, CSPO, SAFe PO/PM, or equivalentResponsibilities: Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring it is well-defined, prioritized, and aligned with business objectives and stakeholder needsLead requirements elicitation and collaboration with stakeholders using advanced techniques (workshops, interviews, discovery sessions)Translate business needs into clear, structured requirements (user stories, acceptance criteria, non-functional requirements) ensuring readiness for developmentDefine and communicate the product vision, roadmap, and release plans, aligning across engineering and business teamsDrive requirements prioritization using value-driven approaches, balancing customer impact, technical feasibility, and business goalsEnsure end-to-end requirements traceability, maintaining consistency across features, releases, and implementation artifactsCollaborate closely with engineering teams to define solution approaches, clarify requirements, and support design decisionsAct as a bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring mutual understanding and alignmentValidate delivered solutions against business needs through acceptance criteria, demos, and UAT participationMonitor and evaluate product performance metrics, identifying gaps between expected and actual value and driving improvementsSupport solution validation and continuous improvement, including defect triage, feedback analysis, and backlog adjustmentsIdentify and manage risks, dependencies, and scope changes, ensuring transparency and proactive mitigationFacilitate and actively participate in Agile ceremonies, ensuring efficient team collaboration and delivery flowMaintain clear and structured product documentation (e.g., PRDs, backlog artifacts, Confluence pages)Contribute to process improvements in product management, requirements practices, and cross-team collaborationWhy this position: At Intellias, where technology takes center stage, people always come before processes.
