It is the contract vehicle for the Enterprise Infrastructure Services organization overseeing MPO’s Enterprise Information Technology (EIT).
EIT is MPO’s backbone- platform for all Enterprise users.
Data Center & Compute Services is the EIS enabling organization working with customers, Integrated Product Teams (IPT), and vendors to deliver select EIT.
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Engineer to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
Develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements.Review and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.Utilize software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.Provide specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.Provide Help Desk Support; ticket handling/resolution, utilizing JIRA.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of relevant experience OR associate’s degree with 15 years of relevant experience OR high school diploma with 20 years of experienceExperience scripting with Java using LinuxStrong background with Docker using MavenProficiency with Git/Gitlab; knowledge and experience with CI/CD and GitOps PrinciplesExperience with Helm, Kubectl, and Kubernetes
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Flux and KustomizeExperience with kafka, kyverno and/or minioWillingness to learn integration and perform upgrade support of open-source software deploymentsWillingness to learn and do updates for current Golang software
Clearance Requirements
Current active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph
Physical Requirements
The candidate must be able to move, carry and deliver workstations from inside the office to customer’s desk.
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Must communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
