Senior Build Engineer

Summary The Senior Build Engineer will modernize and maintain our build and deployment infrastructure across a diverse technology stack. This role is instrumental in transforming our current CI/CD processes and establishing best practices that enable our development teams to deliver high-quality software efficiently. Essential Job Functions To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below. Build & Deployment Infrastructure Modernize and optimize existing Jenkins-based build and deployment systemsDesign and implement scalable CI/CD pipelines across multiple platforms including Salesforce, AWS, Azure, and WSO2Maintain and enhance build automation processes to improve reliability and reduce deployment timesManage and optimize BitBucket repositories and branching strategiesConfigure and maintain VS Code build tooling and extensions for development teams Operations & Maintenance Manage and execute deployments, including scheduled releases and ad-hoc hotfixes, in coordination with cross-functional teams.Monitor build system performance and proactively address issuesImplement security best practices across the build and deployment pipeline Documentation & Knowledge Transfer Create, maintain, and continuously update comprehensive documentation of build systems, processes, and proceduresDevelop training materials and foster a culture of knowledge-sharing for development teams on build systems changes, new tools, and best practicesDocument deployment runbooks and troubleshooting guides Team Enablement Provide technical guidance and support to developers on build-related issuesChampion continuous improvement and proactive issue resolutionAct as the primary point of contact for build and deployment questionsPerforms other related duties and activities as required. Education And Experience Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field5+ years of experience in build engineering, DevOps, or related rolesProven track record of modernizing legacy build systemsExperience working in Agile/Scrum environmentsHistory of successful collaboration with development and operations teamsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong documentation and technical writing abilitiesProblem-solving mindset with attention to detailSelf-motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a teamCommitment to code quality and operational excellence Preferred Qualifications Experience with WSO2 platform and integration technologiesKnowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates)Experience with monitoring and observability toolsRelevant certifications (AWS, Azure, Jenkins, etc.)Background in software development Certificates, Licenses, And Registrations None Required Other Skills And Abilities Strong experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD platformsProficiency with Git and BitBucket for source control managementExperience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms and their deployment servicesFamiliarity with Salesforce deployment processes and tools (SFDX, Metadata API, etc.)Knowledge of build automation and scripting (Bash, Python, Groovy, or similar)Experience with VS Code and development environment configurationUnderstanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) Other Requirements Travel as needed Physical Requirements Sedentary work.
