Role: Field Engineer Location: Homebased, with regular travel across the North Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time Hours: 35 hours per week Salary: £30,790 to £32,411 per annum We have a new opportunity for a Field Engineer to join our fantastic Technology Operations team to help keep our organisation connected through reliable, secure, and effective technology. This is a hands on role where you will be the face of IT in your designated regional area(s) of Scotland and North of England, providing technical support, resolving issues, maintaining equipment, and building strong relationships with users. You will play a key part in ensuring our technology services run smoothly across a diverse estate, helping people stay productive and supported every day. As a Field Engineer, you will provide both on site and remote support across a wide range of technologies, ensuring users receive a responsive and high quality service. Key responsibilities will include: Delivering technical support for devices, systems, networks and connectivity issues, resolving incidents and service requests efficiently.Building strong relationships with site users, acting as a trusted technology partner and providing clear, user-friendly guidance.Installing, maintaining and troubleshooting laptops, PCs, printers, mobile devices and other IT equipment.Supporting Wi-Fi, networking and telephony services while working closely with internal teams and external suppliers.Visiting sites regularly to carry out proactive maintenance, address technical challenges and help drive service improvements. You will be someone who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent customer service skills. You will be confident working independently, managing your own workload, and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues. You will have experience of supporting end-user technology and troubleshooting hardware, software and connectivity issues, along with knowledge of technologies such as Microsoft 365, Windows, Intune and Active Directory. Most importantly, you will enjoy helping people, solving problems, and delivering a great service wherever you are. You will be expected to travel regularly in the course of your work, particularly across the North of England and Scotland. You will be contracted to your home address, where you will be expected to work when not travelling. Due to the nature of this role, a full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle is required. You will need to live in a location that allows for regular travel across the North of England and Scotland.
