JAB Recruitment is seeking an experienced EPC Project Engineering Manager to lead the engineering delivery of a major international EPC project.
The role will initially be based in Woking, before transitioning to Saudi Arabia as the project moves into the execution phase.
We are looking for an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience delivering large-scale EPC/EPCM projects within the Oil & Gas sector, ideally with previous Middle East and Saudi Aramco brownfield project experience.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a multidisciplinary engineering team, ensuring engineering deliverables are completed in accordance with project schedules, budgets and requirements.Manage internal and external stakeholders, including clients, discipline leads, engineering centres, project controls, procurement teams, contractors and suppliers.Provide engineering leadership across all disciplines to ensure design consistency and effective interface management.Monitor engineering progress, budgets, schedules and reporting.Manage engineering change throughout project execution.Support bid and proposal activities, including proposal development, bid approvals and preparation of Project Execution Plans.Review Invitation to Bid documentation and prepare/review engineering man-hour estimates.Ensure engineering solutions comply with client specifications while identifying cost-effective improvements.Lead and participate in multidisciplinary Engineering Design Reviews and ensure actions are effectively closed out.Support strategic procurement planning, including long-lead equipment.Deputise for the Project Manager when required.Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate should have:
A Master's degree in Engineering.Chartered Engineer status preferred.Significant Project Engineering Management experience within the Oil & Gas and/or Low Carbon Energy sectors.Direct experience managing large-scale, complex EPC/EPCM projects for major operators or National Oil Companies.Strong experience across detailed design and EPC project execution.Previous Saudi Aramco brownfield project experience strongly preferred.Extensive Middle East project experience.Strong understanding of project cost control, estimating and planning.Broad multidisciplinary engineering knowledge.Knowledge of international engineering codes, standards and equipment specifications.Strong understanding of safety and quality requirements.Experience managing engineering interfaces and implementing corrective actions.Proven international project experience.Strong leadership, delegation and stakeholder-management capability.Excellent written and spoken English.
Role Details
The position will initially be based in Woking, with international travel required.
As the project progresses into its execution phase, the successful candidate will be expected to relocate to Saudi Arabia.
This is an 18-month Fixed Term Contract, subject to extension, with the position transferring to Saudi Arabia on local terms for the project execution phase.
