About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Frontend Engineer to join our dynamic team.
This pivotal role involves owning the frontend architecture of our TypeScript/React application, establishing technical standards, and designing scalable user interface patterns for complex geospatial workflows utilizing Cesium.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in mentoring engineering teams, collaborating with leadership on project priorities, and contributing to the development of production-quality code daily.
This role is inherently hands-on and coding-intensive, requiring a leader who leads by example through practical implementation and technical excellence.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in building and scaling sophisticated front-end systems, with a focus on performance, maintainability, and user experience in data-heavy, interactive applications.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience in building and scaling front-end systemsDeep expertise in React and TypeScriptStrong architectural judgment with the ability to balance rapid development and long-term maintainabilityProven experience leading complex UI projects, especially interactive, data-rich applications where performance is criticalExperience working with design systems and component libraries (e.g., Material-UI)Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced environments with minimal process overheadExcellent communication skills to align teams around technical patterns and decisionsEligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S.
