In the role of a Senior Software Engineer, you will have a key role in the development of our software that supports JBT Marel‘s vision of transforming the way food is processed globally. If you’re interested in best practices and learning new technics/tools – JBT Marel is the place to be. 🔍 About The Role As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead the design and implementation of software modules that support JBT-Marel’s vision. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including machine engineering and software platform development teams, to deliver robust and scalable solutions for industrial food processing machines. 🧠 What You’ll Do Lead design, implementation, and testing of innovative software modules and features.Optimize existing software solutions and design next gen software solutions for the food processing industryAnalyze requirements and write design specifications for software modules and software featuresMentor junior engineers and contribute to team collaboration.Collaborate with multiple internal teams to ensure system architecture is implemented and tested.Occasionally support product releases and training on customer sites.Train and mentor Software Engineers and Associate Software EngineersContribute to team collaboration and build team spiritWork in an Agile Scrum environment focused on collaboration, speed, and customer value 🛠️ What You Bring We encourage each of our 12,000+ employees to bring their unique self to work and aim to make everyone feel recognized, valued and free to explore their potential. You will recognize in yourself that you: Bachelor’s or Master‘s degree in computer science or similar, or comparable work experience and knowledgeExperience with .NET and Docker.Experience with Azure DevOps and Git.Experience in designing, developing, and implementing large software solutions with object-oriented programming languages, in combination with .NET software development.Strong knowledge of SQL and good understanding of database operationsStrong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers, stakeholders, and customers.Fluent in English (written and verbal).Willingness to travel occasionally. 🌟 Nice to Have Background in industrial automation or machine control.Understanding of reliability requirements in the food industry.Experience with and comfort working in multi-cultural, multi-discipline organization is an advantage.Familiar with Agile software development frameworks and database operationsBasic knowledge of Linux and familiarity with PLCs. 🏬 Why Join Us?
