As a hands-on Java Engineer, you will contribute to the development of our next-generation platforms. You will bring your passion for engineering and technology to solve business problems and deliver high-quality software solutions within a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Working closely with engineers, product managers and business stakeholders, you will design, develop and support cloud-native applications while continuously improving your technical capability and contributing to engineering excellence within the team. You will contribute across the full technology stack, Java and Spring Boot services, APIs and supporting data layers. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy building modern software solutions, learning new technologies and delivering meaningful outcomes for customers. What You Offer Strong technical background (preferably Java based software engineering)Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team with proven success at delivering complex engineering initiativesProduct company experience with an understanding of how to build great products in an Agile environmentSolid understanding of how to build scalable, maintainable and performant web applicationsComputer science education or equivalent experienceAbility to communicate clearly with all levels of the organisationWriting code for multiple services, creating designs and reviewing PRsExperience with AI technologies including AI agents and related tools.Identifying and simplifying complex services and processesExploring new technology and vendor capabilities that greatly benefit the team and clientsDesign and implementation of engineering initiatives across multiple teams and/or platformsWorking with engineering leaders, product managers and other engineers to deliver solutionsEnsuring high code quality, testing and security standards are a non-negotiable in the team cultureAccountable for the reliability and uptime of the applicationsParticipate in incident management and show ownership when there are problems in your spaceRunning post-mortems and ensuring any actions are completed to ensure the applications are improving over time.
