About The Role
We are seeking eight Software Engineers (m/w/d) to join our team in Frankfurt am Main.
This full-time, permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of data and cloud software engineering within a prestigious financial institution.
As part of our innovative team, you will contribute to the development of software solutions critical to data management and statistical analysis, supporting both the Bundesbank and the European System of Central Banks.
Your responsibilities will encompass the entire software development lifecycle—from requirements gathering and planning to implementation and testing—focusing on leveraging cutting-edge cloud technologies.
You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders within the Bundesbank and the wider European banking community to ensure the successful delivery of robust, scalable, and secure software solutions.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree or an equivalent qualification in a quantitative field such as (business) informatics, mathematics, physics, or related disciplines.
Excellent proficiency in German is essential, complemented by good command of English, which can be demonstrated through our language assessment.
Additionally, candidates should possess strong analytical and conceptual skills, validated through our aptitude tests.
Valued attributes include a proactive, responsible, and team-oriented working style, especially in agile environments.
Candidates with experience in software development, relational databases, XML, APIs, web services, and CI/CD tools will have a distinct advantage.
Knowledge of cloud environments—such as European cloud providers, private clouds, Microsoft Azure, or AWS—is highly desirable.
Familiarity with cloud architecture, security, container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform will further strengthen your application.
Excellent communication skills in both German and English are also required.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement software solutions focused on data management and statistical applications, supporting the Bundesbank and the European System of Central Banks.Manage all phases of the software engineering process, including requirements analysis, planning, coding, testing, and deployment.Utilize modern cloud technologies to create scalable, secure, and efficient software systems, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and stakeholder needs.Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, define specifications, and ensure the successful delivery of projects.Implement best practices in software development, including version control, continuous integration, and automated testing.Maintain and improve existing applications, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.Stay abreast of technological advancements in cloud computing, data analytics, and software engineering to recommend innovative solutions.

The annual gross salary ranges from approximately €65,900 to €95,100, depending on experience, with additional performance-based bonuses.
